I LOVE BOXING!

(me and my wraps)

I just got home from kickboxing (can you tell) and it was AWESOME as usual! I think I prefer kickboxing classes to just boxing... only because I enjoy kicking the bag a lot! I can't wait for my boxing gloves to get in the mail on Wednesday. Anyways, I'm addicted and I've already noticed a difference in my waistline. It's really quite amazing. Everyone should try it! If you live in the PHX area, I go to Jab Fitness in Tempe and it's a great boxing gym to try. They have wraps and gloves you can use so you don't have to buy your own before you try it. I LOOOOOOOOVE it. I was getting so tired of just going to gym and this has been a great outlet.

Since school is out and I don't start again till 31 May, hopefully I can bloog regularly again. I've been missing it loads and although things are still kinda busy with work and my new workout schedule, I am going to try harder. :)

Annoying news/good news: Reese and I are still waiting on the possible move to Chile (annoying). It looks like he is going to meet the owner of the company he works for down there the second week of August. This works out great because if that all goes through and no dates are changed, Reese and I can both go down to pick up his brother, Wyatt, from Peru. So hold thumbs!

Bad news/bad news. Reeses transmission is shot. POO MAN! I don't know much about cars, but I do know that the transmission is a major part and expensive if broken. So thats pretty stinky. BUT if I were to look on the good side, the whole time Reese has had his car he hasn't ever had a single issue with it. So I'm grateful for that.

That's about all I have to say for now! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend- I know we did!

Cheers!

Tombstone

For President's day Reese and I decided to drive to Tombstone, AZ. Neither of us had ever been there before, so we thought it would be fun! Read here to find out more of Tombstones history.

I forgot the camera, of course, so all the pictures I have are from the phone. I would have taken more, but my phone wasn't fully charged either, so we had to be relatively selective in phone usage.

Here is Reese driving us in Boobs.

Yours truly..

We stopped in Tucson for lunch at Guero Canelo. It's an authentic Mexican place we saw on the food network.

Really dodge looking hey? If we hadn't seen how good the food was on the telly, we probably wouldn't have stopped. Wait... let me rephrase: Reese still would have stopped, I wouldn't have.

I think tamarindo is gross, but Reese loves it! I opted for naartjie flavoured soda.

He was so excited for the bacon wrapped hotdog...

Yes, a bacon wrapped hotdog with beans, onions, mustard, mayo, and tomato sauce.

I got a chicken quesadilla

He was in heaven!!!

It was just alright for me...

See what I'm saying?

Some random shots from our table...

On the road again to Tombstone.

Finally in Tombstone on the famous main street.

We made a mistake. Instead of going to the action packed western show, we went to more of a comedic one. It was funny, but there wasn't much action.

I was asked on stage to shoot a bad guy. It was pretty funny. I was nervous that he was going to actually make me shoot the gun but he just had me hold it while he shot the blank.

The bad guy...

It was a fun day! On our way home we stopped by Eegee's. I remembered it being really good, so I told Reese he would love it! We each got the 3 regular flavours and I have to say it wasn't that good. Pop pops in New Mexico is 10000 times better. So I have no idea why people drive the 1.5 hours from Phoenix just to get Eegee's. So over-rated!

Anyways, remember this little boy? Liisa's son Payton is getting so big and cute! He is also pretty hilarious. I got to see him for a bit this week so we took some pictures!

Love him to bits!

Bed Hog

Right now Reese and I are on a double bed. So it's small-ish for two people who love to sleep at night. Lately, one of us has been getting better sleep than the other. Can you guess who?
.....

Yup, thats right folks, right smack in the middle of the bed.

Still don't believe me? Check out the end of this post!

New Year: 2011

So far 2011 has been alright. After the crazy NYE party sleeping in was much needed! It didn't really feel like a new year. I hadn't really thought of what I wanted to work on for 2011 and thats OK because I  usually land up forgetting them by the end of January.

Anyways, when I managed to make it to church on time the first Sunday of the year I decided that would be a good resolution. I don't wake up late, I actually wake up with more than enough time for church. I just have a terrible habit of faffing around and loose track of time. So I would always make Reese and I late. So that is resolution number one of 2011: CHURCH ON TIME. So far, so good!

I know this is such a typical new years resolution for everyone, but it's to eat healthier and exercise more. I am not going to go on any dumb diet or say that I will never eat another carb again. Dumb and impossible. Unless you're just gonna eat lettuce, pretty much everything has carbs in it. I am trying to eat healthier carbs like quinoa and other whole grains and phasing out rice and pasta. I also am trying to eat less red meat and more white meat. So instead of mince meat, I'll use minced turkey instead. And yes, so far I haven't had even an ounce of condensed milk since the new year. Not that I am trying to cut out sugar... I'm just trying to cut out tooth-decaying sugars and eat more healthy sugars like fruit. And I think to say that I am going to go to gym 6 days a week every week would just be setting myself up for failure. So I am trying to go at least 4 times a week and work out for at least an hour each time. So resolution number two: HEALTHIER LIFESTYLE. Disclaimer: This does not mean I am going to stop eating coldstone or baking deliciously unhealthy foods in my beautiful christmas present from Mom and Dad Semanek, the kitchen aid mixer. I'm just going to eat the more unhealthier food in moderation.

My third and final personal resolution (for blogger) is to finish my associates by the end of the year. Thanks to a two year break after high school, and a two year break after my first year of college.... I have yet to finish my associates. That is my hope for this school year. Of course, I want to finish with my bachelors- but I'm taking it one year at a time. No more two year breaks though! So resolution number three: FINISH ASSOCIATES.

Granted, I do have some other personal resolutions... but they're not as interesting as these. I asked Reese if he had any and I think the response was something like "I'm going to try not be as awesome to give other people the chance to be great". What a narna!

Remember how desperately bored I was near the end of last year, before Reese and I went to Chile? Well thats gone out the window. Not that I am going to be too busy. I am currently looking for a nanny position. I do have a job, but its at a call center and I am not too sure I want to do that long term. I do so much better with little people than crabby old people. So no more desperate housewife. 2011 welcomes normal, busy, and not-a-waste-of-time Courtney!

Some things Reese and I are looking forward too in the next couple days/months is:

A. New cellphones

And B. Our own home

Ok, so I could only dream of having it look like the above picture! But I am so excited to go condo shopping over the next few weekends... but we'll probably just land up renting. So I am excited to waste a couple Saturday's looking at condo's that we're not going to buy.

Happy 2011 Everybody!
