New Year: 2011

So far 2011 has been alright. After the crazy NYE party sleeping in was much needed! It didn't really feel like a new year. I hadn't really thought of what I wanted to work on for 2011 and thats OK because I  usually land up forgetting them by the end of January.

Anyways, when I managed to make it to church on time the first Sunday of the year I decided that would be a good resolution. I don't wake up late, I actually wake up with more than enough time for church. I just have a terrible habit of faffing around and loose track of time. So I would always make Reese and I late. So that is resolution number one of 2011: CHURCH ON TIME. So far, so good!

I know this is such a typical new years resolution for everyone, but it's to eat healthier and exercise more. I am not going to go on any dumb diet or say that I will never eat another carb again. Dumb and impossible. Unless you're just gonna eat lettuce, pretty much everything has carbs in it. I am trying to eat healthier carbs like quinoa and other whole grains and phasing out rice and pasta. I also am trying to eat less red meat and more white meat. So instead of mince meat, I'll use minced turkey instead. And yes, so far I haven't had even an ounce of condensed milk since the new year. Not that I am trying to cut out sugar... I'm just trying to cut out tooth-decaying sugars and eat more healthy sugars like fruit. And I think to say that I am going to go to gym 6 days a week every week would just be setting myself up for failure. So I am trying to go at least 4 times a week and work out for at least an hour each time. So resolution number two: HEALTHIER LIFESTYLE. Disclaimer: This does not mean I am going to stop eating coldstone or baking deliciously unhealthy foods in my beautiful christmas present from Mom and Dad Semanek, the kitchen aid mixer. I'm just going to eat the more unhealthier food in moderation.

My third and final personal resolution (for blogger) is to finish my associates by the end of the year. Thanks to a two year break after high school, and a two year break after my first year of college.... I have yet to finish my associates. That is my hope for this school year. Of course, I want to finish with my bachelors- but I'm taking it one year at a time. No more two year breaks though! So resolution number three: FINISH ASSOCIATES.

Granted, I do have some other personal resolutions... but they're not as interesting as these. I asked Reese if he had any and I think the response was something like "I'm going to try not be as awesome to give other people the chance to be great". What a narna!

Remember how desperately bored I was near the end of last year, before Reese and I went to Chile? Well thats gone out the window. Not that I am going to be too busy. I am currently looking for a nanny position. I do have a job, but its at a call center and I am not too sure I want to do that long term. I do so much better with little people than crabby old people. So no more desperate housewife. 2011 welcomes normal, busy, and not-a-waste-of-time Courtney!

Some things Reese and I are looking forward too in the next couple days/months is:

A. New cellphones

And B. Our own home

Ok, so I could only dream of having it look like the above picture! But I am so excited to go condo shopping over the next few weekends... but we'll probably just land up renting. So I am excited to waste a couple Saturday's looking at condo's that we're not going to buy.

Happy 2011 Everybody!

What a hottie

After being sick for a few days and looking/feeling like death

We finally got to use the giftcards I got at work.

We went to dinner at Chili's. Fancy hey?

Then we went to see The Last Song with hotty mchot hot Liam Hemsworth

And funny/pretty/but in desperate need of braces Miley Cyrus. I thought she did a pretty good job for only ever playing herself on the Disney show. I think she's hilarious, so besides the close up's on her teeth, she was good.

It was a good movie. I enjoyed it. I felt it was maybe a little rushed but that could be because I read the book before so I knew what they were changing and skipping over.
And yes... I cried ...and also giggled like a little girl. So what?!

I LOVE to read, and finished the 400+ pages in about 2 days because I could not put it down. I loved it... but then again I am a sucker for things romantic. Well... anything that includes romance, vampires, the 1800's, most NY Times best sellers, and the Holocaust. Strange, I know.

After the movie, a teeny-bopper came up to Reese and told him he looked just like Will (a.k.a Liam Hotty Mchot hot) from the movie. Woo woo! Reese didn't quite understand, but I told him just to take the compliment. There is some resembelance don't ya think? :)

Then we went to the University Mall to people watch and of course, get coldstone. And yes, I have never ever gotten anything other than the birthday cake remix (no sprinkles, strawberries instead). I can't wait to go to the Coldstone University again in Scottsdale and get it free twice a month. Greatest thing EVER.

Since I was sick on April Fools, I decided to sms my family and tell them I was 2 months pregnant. Reese found it far from amusing, my mom and dad believed me... as did Michael, Ruby-lynn, and Tessa. It was fantastic. Carissa didn't believe me at all. She smsed Reese to find out the truth and his response was "no....HELL NO!!!!!" That is a direct quote.
They were quite mif to hear that I wasn't and it was a joke. Ha ha. The hilarious responses helped ease the feelings of death I was feeling.

We also got to go to a live session of Conference. It was fantastic.

Also less than 3 weeks till this little madame, her mommy, mom, and dad Semanek come visit for Reese's GRADUATION! We will be missing Andy, Wyatt, and the two cruise waiters... but so excited to see the family who can come for it. Woo woo! I can't wait.
