Opa!

This past Friday Reese and I went to the Scottsdale Civic Center to reminisce about the time we randomly ran into Ludacris last year and got to chat his ear off for a while...

Yes, he is as cool as the songs he makes.

And yes, he had sweaty armpits and man-boobs. I wish I could say I was kidding- but its the truth. Regardless, he was very down to earth and fun to talk to.

And yes, he loves me South Africa(ns).

We also went for the Greek Festival they (SCC) was having over the weekend. The night started with car pictures. Check Reese- typical...

The weather was perfect and there was a live band and dancing.

Reese got a gyro, or as he calls it "guy-row".

I got the lamb dinner. The lamb was soooo divine, right off the spit! Reese and I each tried a dolmadakia. It's grape leaves stuffed with mince meat, rice, and veggies. So good!

Loving his "guy-row"

Me enjoying my lamb dinner... Or as Reese would call it (completely wrong btw) "delicious spiced lamb shank". What a weirdo. A weirdo that I love.

For dessert we had the most divine donut-type balls with a honey syrup and sprinkled with powdered sugar. Don't ask me how to pronounce it, but they're called loukoumades.

Mmmm....deep fried goodness.

And of course we couldn't just try one dessert, so we also got galaktoboureko. a delicious custard (similar to South African melktert) baked between layers of pastry soaked in a lemon flavoured syrup.

It was a lot of fun and the only thing missing was the plate smashing! Until next year...
